Sangha
Ashtree Sangha is an Insight Meditation Group (Vipassana)
based in Adelaide.
Ashtree Sangha meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month
Centre OM, 7 Compton St. Adelaide
3.00-5.00pm Meditation, discussion and exploration of
a text
The format consists of a 45 minute meditation period,
followed by a discussion of the meditation. This year,
on the 2nd Sunday of the month, we are studying a text,
Stephen Batchelors “Buddhism Without Beliefs”.
We read some of this in the group and discuss the implications.
The group sessions are open to anyone interested in Insight
Meditation, beginners included.

Blue Gum Sangha
- Blue Mountains
The Bluegum Sangha is a Buddhist insight meditation community
on Sydney’s North Shore. It supports its members’
development both as meditators and as practitioners of
the dharma in all its aspects.
We meet each Wednesday for meditation and dharma teachings
at Crows Nest. This group is for people who have some
background in meditation and who are comfortable sitting
for 45 minutes in silence.
New people are welcome!
The Bluegum Sangha is linked to Sydney Insight Meditators
and Australian Insight Meditation Network.

Bay Insight - Byron
Bay
Bay Insight Meditation presents the teachings of the
Buddha in the tradition of Insight Meditation (Vipassana).
We meet weekly on Tuesdays from 7:15pm to 9:00pm at The
Temple Byron (former Aikido Centre), 46 Melaleuca Drive.
Melaleuca Drive goes off to the right opposite the industrial
area, as you are coming into Byron from the highway along
Ewingsdale Road.
The group leaders are Radha Nicholson and Ellen Davison
who are both members of the Australian Insight Teacher
Circle.
Sessions are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners.
Instruction will be provided to beginners.
The usual format is a silent meditation starting at 7.15pm
followed by a break for tea at 8.00pm, which will provide
an opportunity to meet others interested in the Dharma.
This will be followed by a talk or related dharma activity
that will finish around 9.00pm.
You don't need to let anyone know that you are coming
- just turn up. There is no cost involved but donations
will be gratefully accepted to cover expenses and support
the teachers.

Kuan Yin Meditation
Centre - Lismore
The Kuan Yin Meditation Centre located in Lismore in
Northern New South Wales was established by Subhana Barzaghi
who is a teacher in both the Zen and Vipassana traditions.
The Dojo was purpose built by Subhana as the first Zen
Temple in Australia.
The Centre supports both Vipassana and Zen groups.
The Kuan Yin Insight Meditation Group meets on Wednesday
evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. The program includes sitting
and walking meditation, guided meditation, interviews,
Dharma talks and Dharma discussion under the guidance
of Ellen Davison, an Insight (Vipassana) Meditation teacher
and Zen teacher in the Diamond Sangha lineage. The orientation
of the Wednesday evening group is Insight (Vipassana)
Meditation.
The Zen Group meets from 6:30 - 8:30 pm on the second
and fourth Mondays of each month. The program includes
guidance and instruction on Zen meditation practices,
chanting, Dharma talks and Dharma discussion. Interviews
are also available.
The Kuan Yin Meditation Centre is co-ordinated by a committee
who also organise monthly Days of Mindfulness which are
usually on the third Saturday of each month. Guest Dharma
teachers/leaders from different Buddhist traditions are
invited to give talks and lead a discussion at the end
of the day.
The committee also organises longer retreats.

Tallowwood Sangha - Bellingen
Tallowwood Sangha is a meditation group practicing in
the Insight Meditation tradition under the guidance of
Will James.
Tallowwood Sangha meets 7pm every Monday night at the
Bellingen Yoga Studio, Crown St, Bellingen. The evening
program includes sitting and walking meditation, occasional
Dharma Talks or group discussions. The evening concludes
around 8.30pm.
Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome, just
turn up or if you have any questions please ring Will

A donation (dana) is appreciated to cover the venue hire.

A Celebration of the Dharma and Women’s
Wisdom
Come and join a gentle exploration of women’s inner
lives.
The day will offer guided and silent meditation, short
Dharma topic, inquiry and shared lunch. The meetings aim
to evolve according to the needs of the participants.

Carol Perry is a member of the Insight Teachers' Circle,
Australia and leads retreats, yatras (mindfulness walks)
& dharma workshops. She has a mindfulness-based psycho-therapy
practice in Lismore & Melbourne.
